Kolam is a slender, long grain rice variety grown by tribal farmers in Maharashtra. This rice variety is sourced from our farmer network in Kolhapur. The rice is hand pounded and retains it’s hull and hence all the fibre & nutrition. Kolam is popular for it’s delicious taste and high nutrition content. Used for most rice based dishes.
Cooking note: Soak the rice in water for 20-25 minutes and then steam it with little extra water for 15-20 minutes.
